Joining a local exercise class is a great way to get active, stay healthy and make friends along the way. Use the free Active and Healthy directory to find exercise programs tailored to those over the age of 50.  


You can search for programs based on: 


  • location and how far you are able to travel
  • by type of activity such as walking groups, dance classes or tai chi 
  • find free or virtual classes

You can search for local falls prevention programs using the Active and Healthy directory. Falls prevention listings include programs tailored for those over the age of 65 which have a focus on specific strength and balance exercises to reduce your risk of falling.
